A thigh lift may be suitable if you have significant excess, sagging skin on your inner or outer thighs due to aging, genetics, or major weight loss. The best candidates are in good general health, at a stable weight, and have realistic expectations.
The goal of a well-planned thigh lift is to place the incision in the most inconspicuous location possible, typically in the groin crease or along the inner thigh. While the scar is permanent, it usually fades significantly over time.
Most patients feel comfortable returning to light daily activities within about 10 to 14 days, while swelling continues to improve over the following weeks. You will need to wear a compression garment and avoid strenuous leg activities during the initial recovery phase.
If your primary concern is excess fat and you have good skin elasticity, liposuction alone may be sufficient. However, if you have significant loose skin, a thigh lift (often combined with liposuction) is necessary to achieve a firm contour.
Most patients should plan enough time for consultation, surgery, and early postoperative checks before travelling back. Typically, a stay of about 7 to 10 days is recommended, depending on the treatment plan and your recovery progress.
